The Not so Big Date 5-17-08

"The Big Date" evidently does not mean what I thought it meant -- no ring last night. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed, but it was a cute idea for a date and a fun birthday eve. I started the day by sleeping in, getting a mani/pedi, and shopping for a new date dress.

Our date began at 6pm and was supposed to start with drinks at Reunion Tower, a Big D monument, hence the theme of the night. We were to reflect on big events we have spent together in the big city and our monumental love. Too bad Reunion Tower was closed for maintenance.

Our next stop was Fireside Pies where we shared a big pizza and I got my next card.

It says: "5-18-08 the Birth Date; Happy Birthday to you... 1pm celebrating twenty-five wonderful years and your last as a bachelorette" So exciting!! Oh, and it DOES have the right ring on it this time. That last card was a mean joke to throw me off.

Next, we walked around Turtle Creek as a breather before dessert -- a big cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. We ended the date by watching Big Fish. At 10pm we met up with some friends to celebrate my quarter 'o century birthday at the Quarter Bar. It was a good time. My birthday is my birthday and should be kept separate from other big events. I also got some big hints that put my mind to ease. My day will come soon.
