I have been very anxious/curious/excited all week and asking Fernando all kinds of questions that he won't answer. I know I am being pretty annoying and will try to just stop and let the plan unfold, but Fernando thinks it's cute and that is why I love him. The suspicious and secret phone calls continue. He's been "working late" a lot... my mind is wondering so many places.
So last night he told me he would give me a hint. He was gone running secret errands all morning, then when he came to meet me for lunch, gave me another card -- this time in a matching blue envelope (he also stole my first card back and put that in an envelope as well).
It says: "5-9-08 the First Date; An Evening of Firsts; 7pm; it all begins at the Starbucks' patio on McKinney at the first large square table of the left"
I can't wait!! This special table at Starbucks is where it all began. Roughly February 2006, we were both new to working at hawkeye and didn't know many people. We both go to Starbucks for lunch and are just steps away from each other. He got his espresso and lemon pound cake first, maybe saw me in line and said hi then went outside. So as I was coming out the door with no where to go and abut 50 minutes to kill, I sat down at his table, pulled some Cheetos out of purse and we had our first real conversation. This is where we exchanged aim names and the rest is history....
We began chatting at work on a regular basis and became close friends. By the end of the summer we knew there was more to it than that and had our first kiss at my pool late in August. Our first real date was 9-9-06.
