Last Sunday, October 12th we had a Save the Date Assembly Party. After months of planning and preparation, they are finally ready!
We've had several follow-up meetings since the Kick Off in June. We saw about 6 different concepts, narrowed it down and made revisions, saw paper samples and printing quotes, chose ribbon, stamps, labels... every last detail was perfectly planned. We have such a great team of friends! On a side note, Ashley's hair is now brown - see the picture.
On Saturday Fernando, Robby and Adam cut out nearly all the components - even custom envelopes. Notice the bandages on Fernando's fingers - these are not injuries from Save the Dates - he cut pieces of two fingers off while trimming zombie signs to decorate the office for Halloween.
Sunday morning Fernando and Robby finished the cutting and I rounded some corners. Then it was off to my apartment for assembly! We had a group of 7 friends all there to help - corner rounding, hole punching, gluing, ribbon cutting and tying...
It took about 4 hours and we have 120 cards done!! Next steps are to finish the address list, labels and Website. Once that is complete (this week) cards are coming to a mail box near you!
