Catching up

I've neglected the blog for a little while. Here are all the updates:

The Cheap Date was supposed to be a trip to Chick-fil-a - always delicious. We spent the whole day by the pool that day and hadn't eaten, so we were starving and went to Chuy's for quesadillas instead. It was so good and still relatively cheap. It was a great sunny Saturday and more than I could ask for for a 'cheap date'.

Today was "The Dutch Date". The card said "We're Going Dutch; 7pm; Before our wallets are combined, our bills will be separate" He would make me having to pay be cute. We went to Chuy's again. I just can't get enough of those quesadillas!

The last few weeks have been wedding planning central. We have confirmed 5-2-09 at Wilshire Baptist Church with the reception at Level Two. It's going to be so beautiful! We also had out first cake tasting at Society Bakery, which was also the cause of my first bridezilla melt down. We love the taste of the cake of course, but Fernando was not so impressed with the decorating skills. We agreed to force ourselves to get more free cake and try other bakeries before deciding on anything. Society sent us home with a box full of different flavors of cupcakes - yum! I am really liking being a bride-to-be.

I've also been dress shopping and narrowed it down to a few. I'm waiting for my Rachel to get here to shop with me and make it final. Our colors will be green and white with accents of orange and yellow. I haven't found the exact shade of green I want, but have a good idea of what we might do for bridesmaids. All the girls will have the same skirts and can choose their own top. I think floor-length is most appropriate. The wedding will be at 6pm, with the reception following at 7.

The bridal party is all picked out too. Seven on each side! Six with a junior for each of us. You all know who you are.

I have a feeling the whole wedding will be planned in a few months and I'll have nothing to do but wait for 6 months. I am seriously considering a career change to event planning. It's so much fun and a natural talent for me. My girl Tracy feels the same way and we could be partners.

It's going to be a busy, fun summer. I'm still glowing.
