The Nutcracker Date

Saturday was was our final date and it was a good one!

We started in the afternoon with a relaxing couples massage. Later that evening, we headed to Fort Worth for dinner at Lonesome Dove. It was amazing. For our appetizer, we had Kangaroo Nachos (yes, actual Kangaroo meat) with avocado salsa, Lobster Hush Puppies and Rattlesnake and Rabbit Sausage over a potato hash. The main course was deer chops with white truffle mac and cheese and fried artichoke hearts for me and beef tenderloin over hash with asparagus for Fernando. I had a recommended glass of Cabernet and Nando had a recommended glass of whiskey. Mmmm...

If that wasn't enough, for dessert, we went downstairs to the back of the restaurant where we got to roast our own S'mores! They have a couch set up next to a fire pit and white lights decorating the whole patio. It was so romantic and delicious!

After dinner, it was off to The Nutcracker at Bass Hall. It was enjoyable yet again. We purchased a Christmas ornament to save for our first tree together in remembrance of the place I first heard "I love you" and our special dates.

No date can be complete without 'the bucks'. After the show we mustered up enough appetite to share a snicker doodle and hot chocolate. It was all perfect!
