The Fourth of July Date

We just spent our Fourth of July weekend in Katy with my family. It was such a good weekend. Not sure what part we are calling the date, but on the Fourth, we took my nephew swimming, ate Japanese for lunch and had Mediterranean for dinner. No card again. Nando owes me, but I am not complaining. He's very good to me. The whole visit we were either at the pool, watching the baby be cute, playing our new Wii (thank you Charlie and Amanda), playing real tennis or watching a movie. We also had some family pictures made and got a few of just the couples. It was a great get away and the last time the Michaels will all be together until the wedding (and then we'll be plus one). My mom leaves for Guatemala on July 14 and Amanda is due on December 26. So exciting!

Yesterday morning, after we returned to work, I turned in my resignation from hawkeye. I start a new job at Epsilon on July 28. There is so much going on!! We had a cake from Marble Slab on Saturday night to celebrate all of us -- both brothers' wedding anniversaries, Henry's first bday, Mom's bday, our engagement and the new job.

More big plans will be made in the next few weeks after Rachel visits. It's going to be so much fun!! Our next date is on the 19th.
